This employer was expanding its sales team. We consulted with them to formulate the job description and training plans. We held information sessions for candidates with a sales background, emphasizing the importance of achieving targets and the ability to cold call. Any candidates who were selected to proceed, then met with the company’s Human Resources lead for interview.
A small but growing manufacturing company who we have worked with previously. Due to the high level of satisfaction with previous candidates, we supported them through further round of recruitment. This time the employer had a certain age ranges in mind, favouring the right attitude over experience. We invited candidates fitting this description to our centre and completed a pre-screen session. This involved the candidates showing their personality, working in a team and revealing any relevant knowledge they had relating to this sector. From this candidates were shortlisted and presented to the employer.
We have been working with this employer for some time, supplying them with permanent night loaders. They utilise our centre on a number of occasions each year to interview. Then the successful candidates undertake a 5 day work trial to ensure that they are right for the roles.
We held an SIA License course for any candidates hoping to gain employment in the security sector. From this we established relationships with many security firms. We recruit for this employer on a monthly basis, with 4-6 guaranteed interviews each month. The candidates are pre-screened using in-house materials, which have been developed specifically for Ombudsman. Candidates that pass the pre-screen are then allocated an interview with the employer.
We successfully recruited candidates into Poundworld stores in Crewe and Chester. The process started with three-hour pre-screens involving various tasks, such as role play and group discussions. The successful candidates were then invited to complete application forms as a group. From this we organised the employer’s interview schedule from our centres. All successful candidates had to undertake a five-day work trial in a store, for which we provided a minibus service for transport.
Over the Christmas period, this employer was looking for a large intake of reliable and hardworking staff to produce stock. All candidates must pass a medical before they are interviewed. We held short sessions ensuring candidates were suitable to undertake this medical. Also we checked each candidate had the correct ID to register, for anyone who did not, we supported them with costs in order to provide this. We placed 40 candidates in to work with Tulip over a two month period.
