We have recently introduced the Steps 2 Success programme, in partnership with Ingeus, People 1st and Springvale Employment, at our Newtownards and Bangor sites. The launch event took place in February and was attended by the Minister for Employment and Learning in Northern Ireland, Dr Stephen Farry.

Steps 2 Success is the Department of Employment and Learning’s main adult employment programme to help unemployed people find and keep a job. It is an exciting opportunity for jobseekers in Northern Ireland to build the essential skills and experience for workplace success. Participants on the Steps 2 Success programme will receive holistic support from their Advisor and experience team to achieve the following:

• Prepare for work – participants and their Advisor together will develop a Progress to Employment Plan to set realistic job goals, overcome barriers and plan the best way to prepare for work.
• Get that job – once participants have prepared for work, we will provide the support they need to find jobs, make strong job applications and be successful at interviews.
• Progress in work – we will be there for participants as they start work, offering help and advice at any time, and continue to support them as they progress in their jobs.
